Description
The Agrimand project aimed to create a stable and user-friendly platform for trading agricultural services and products. The client came with an existing legacy infrastructure that required support and enhancement. Our team worked on maintaining and improving legacy modules, optimizing performance, and developing custom UI/UX for the marketplace without a provided design, relying on real user scenarios. During the project, we also implemented minor improvements to keep the platform active during periods of low development and later contributed to account management and product development as a contract manager.
Challenge
The Agrimand project faced several key challenges. The platform was built on a legacy infrastructure and codebase, requiring careful maintenance and understanding to ensure stability. Creating a custom UI/UX for the agricultural marketplace and auction platform was another major challenge, as no design assets were provided. The team had to analyze real user workflows to make the interface intuitive and user-friendly. Performance was critical, so caching and optimization were needed to improve speed and responsiveness. Additionally, limited client involvement in technical decisions and a conservative approach to front-end changes required balancing improvements with existing constraints.
Solution
- Conducted a thorough audit of the legacy code and implemented improvements to ensure system stability.
- Optimized platform performance with caching and refactoring of critical components.
- Designed user-friendly UI/UX for the agricultural marketplace and auction platform based on real use cases.
- Integrated Cloudflare to enhance performance and security.
