The client was a technology company developing a streaming platform focused on live video experiences and digital content distribution. The platform was designed to support multiple streaming use cases, including entertainment platforms, live events, and sports broadcasting. It enabled users to access live streams, purchase event access, and interact with monetized video content. The project consisted of two main solutions: a general-purpose broadcasting platform and a dedicated sports streaming platform focused on paid access to live events.

Challenge

The client needed to enhance and maintain a complex streaming ecosystem while supporting different business models, including free streaming experiences and paid access to live events. The main challenge was building reliable user-facing functionality around live streaming workflows while integrating with external video streaming services and payment providers. The platform required flexible ticket reservation logic, secure purchasing flows, and support for complex queue management scenarios where event access was limited. Additional challenges included maintaining existing applications, developing new frontend features, supporting backend functionality, and ensuring smooth communication between internal systems and third-party streaming infrastructure.
